New Year in Bali Will Be Better This Year than the Last One

Last year, we were in grief with the number of rising cases from Covid-19. People started to feel the biggest hit from unemployment to lockdown situations. Bali looked like a ghost town, almost. On October 14, Bali finally saw a light in the tunnel. We believe that it will soon spark its charm again. But this year with the emergence of the new Covid-19 variant, omicron, the celebration comes in several restrictions. Although, the Central Government, through Luhut Binsar (The coordinating minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment) has officially aborted the implementation of level 3 restrictions on community activities after it was published on November 24, there are several regulations that follow, starting effectively on December 24 till January 2 or further notice. So, how the new year in Bali and other parts of Indonesia will look like? Check out the following.

If You Are Planning to Cherish the New Year in Bali, Keep in Mind that…

  • Those domestic travelers, during Christmas and New Year are fully vaccinated. They also have shown their negative antigen test results for a maximum of 1×24 hours before departure.
  • Grown-ups who have not done their full jabs yet or due to a medical condition in any way are prohibited from traveling.
  • Kids may travel with a condition that they have fulfilled the negative PCR test 3×24 hours for flight mode and 1×24 hours for ferry or sea trip.
  • Foreign travelers are allowed entry if they have included negative PCR test results for a maximum of 2×24 hours upon departure. Besides they willing to commit the 10-day quarantine in a designated hotel.
  • The Indonesian Government prohibits grand celebration events. It applies in the hotels, Bali villas, malls, and other public attractions to prevent the spread of the Omicron variant
  • Operational hours change only up to 9 pm with 75% capacity load. This rule applies to malls, restaurants, cinemas, and many others by following the PeduliLindungi check-in protocols.
  • Social-cultural events are limited to only 50 persons max, and they must observe the health and check-in protocols.

Classic, Inspiring Ideas to Elevate Your New Year in Bali with Your Loved One

You might wonder what you can do around the new year in Bali after seeing all these regulations. Don’t fret, we got you covered in this post. For some people who sadly must hustle on the Friday of December 31, you can mark several activities below to do on New Year’s Eve and have the rest completed the next day at the weekend.

#1 Binge-Watching Your Movie Wishlist

Yes, we couldn’t think of a better picture-perfect day than imagining you and your dearest are just hanging around on your private Bali villas rental or at home. You can binge-watching every series or movie that you have added to your Wishlist while maybe munching some light snacks. It may be conventional, but there’s a charm that we think you would agree on as well. A movie on a New Year’s Eve just completes the celebration.

#2 Have A Private Dining Scene at Our Bali Villas

Set a private barbeque night or make your plain beef steak, you can have it either way or both. And don’t miss out on the wine too. Arranging a cooking night, moreover, private dining with your loved one just adds up the excitement of the new year’s vibe.

#3 Sunset and Pizza at Your Favorite Beach and Highlight Your Biggest Moments in 2021

The laid-back scene, the breeze, the delicious pizza, and the tropical sunset, are just a great combination that really brings out the storytelling desire in you. When everything around just supports you to feel so relaxed, it becomes easier to have a more positive outlook on things (good and bad) that had happened to you for the last 12 months. So, you can be more accepting and at ease that the past is just a past, and maybe there are hopes that you didn’t get to achieve this year. But hey, there’s nothing else that we can do about them, we’re just letting them all flow and then trying to live our best life ahead. Sometimes, we focus too much on the goals and let our processes and struggles slip by unappreciated. So, better luck next year.

#4 Have A Spa Day from the Comfort of Your Bali Villas Rental

The moment the time ticks to 00.00, it’s already the start of the new year 2022. It felt only yesterday we celebrated the year 2021. Now we’re waiting for another clean slate of creating more journeys, happy memories, and new resolutions in 2022, aren’t we?
