What Happened to the Ghost Palace in Bali – Theories at large

There are no clear reasons why the past owner gave up the hotel. However, the first story we found established that around the 1990s, the ghost palace in Bali was supposed to be under project development by the youngest descendant of the second former President of Indonesia, Tommy Soeharto. Not long after its first operation, the hotel was canceled because a corruption scandal happened to Tommy. His imprisonment was viral in 2002 for the homicide case of a judge in the Supreme Court.

The second narrative circulating the hotel was it used to be packed and fully occupied by guests. One day, they all fled the hotel. This occurred after a report saying that they were taken up by the frequent apparitions from the construction workers.

The last theory that we thought could be true was a statement from the Chairman of the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI) familiarly called by the name Cok Ace saying that the hotel was out of business from the cutthroat competition in the tourism industry.
