5 Lovely Things to Do in Sanur with Your Partner

Sanur is one of the most developing regions in Bali in terms of its tourism sector. It has some of the most amazing places that appeal to those who are searching for the goodness the island has to offer. Today, Bali Villas R Us covers the pointers on things to do in Sanur that you can include on your itinerary, in the following.

#1 Jogging around the Picturesque Coastline of Sanur Beach

You can practically walk to several beaches in Sanur stretching from Padang Galak Beach, Matahari Terbit Beach until you get to the Sanur main beaches such as Segara Ayu Beach (people who would like to visit Lembongan Island would usually be picked by boat from here), Sindhu Beach, and Karang Beach. Stroll further to the south and you will encounter more beaches. Those are Semawang Beach, Cemara Beach, Prama Sanur Beach, and at the very edge is the notable Mertasari Beach. Crowds love doing watersports activities while the locals would be very busy fishing there.

Are you interested to put Sanur Beach walk on your to-do list? Remember…

There are paving blocks that link several beaches. So, if you’d like to do a Sanur Beach walkthrough, the facilities are quite comfy and easy to reach. If you are staying at nearby Bali villas rental or other accommodations in Sanur, head to the back of Mercure Hotel Sanur and start your walking journey from there. Maybe you can buy several souvenirs from the local sellers. You can also have your breakfast with the beach view at one of the cafés and restaurants as you are passing by.

What’s best about Sanur Beach walk is the well-managed infrastructure. Not only for exercising, but you can also have a fun biking experience in the paving path. Also, you can sitting underneath the shade of a tree and admiring the beach panorama? It will be just fine, too. Don’t own a bike? You can spot a bike rental as a piece of cake in Sanur. We figure that it has something to do with the lines of hotels along the coastline. To induce a sense of comfort for their guests, they participate in taking care of the areas. You will finish at the entrance of Sanur Beach. It will be no problem for you to locate a driver since there are plenty there.

#2 Have a Gelato Sweet Delight in the Late Afternoon

Jalan Danau Tamblingan is packed with a myriad of fine dining restaurants, spas, mini-marts, Bali villas, 4 to 5-star hotels, bakeries, cafés and bars, boutique stores, and among them a spot famous for its Italian menu selections and homemade gelato, Massimo. It’s one of the best on the island and all their menu items are reasonably priced as well.

The ice cream showcase is positioned prominently by the street of Danau Tamblingan. It becomes the highlight of the building although you should try their other Italian menu items as well. The sweet delight comes in many flavors. There is a cup or a cone that you can choose to serve your gelato. If you are a gelato fan, I think you’d be happy to enjoy three scoops of diverse gelato of your pick in a maxi cone for an IDR25.000. Before ordering, make sure you have already settled on your choices so they can process your order faster and don’t make other guests wait too long.

#3 Admiring Beautiful Artworks in Le Mayeur Museum

It used to be a warm quarter for a Belgian expatriate and an artist by the name Adrien-Jean Le Mayeur de Merpres. Since his first step on the island in 1932, he fell in love with Bali and Sanur then found his forever muse. He is married to a Balinese in 1935, Ni Wayan Polok Tjoeglik who was a Legong dancer. He often featured his wife on many of his oil paintings. Today, his home makes as one of the must-visit attractions in Sanur. A museum to honor his legacy within a Balinese compound. There are about 80 paintings in his collection and the classic Balinese architecture you can admire.

#4 Snorkeling in Sanur

Bali has world-class snorkeling sites like those in Tulamben, Amed, and Nusa Penida. Although sites are shallow in Sanur, it too has amazing lagoons. You can sight tropical fish species and vibrant reefs, especially the Sindhu Beach. To sign up for a seawater tour, you might find the receptionist at your Bali villas rental. You can also do your research for a dive center that can cater to your need if you really want to take snorkeling trips further.

#5 Serangan Island

Serangan Island is home to a turtle conservation center, a reef shark nursery, and the sacred Sakenan Temple. It is located in the South of Denpasar. The small island is the perfect getaway to learn the rare turtle species. Also you can join the release of baby turtles to their natural habitat.
